The day began with the hoisting of the national flag, which soared high, symbolizing the aspirations of a nation. The serene atmosphere was filled with the echoes of the national anthem, as students, faculty, and staff stood in respectful attention.
The highlight of the morning was the speech by the esteemed Secretary, Sri. Satish Kumar Rai. “Independence is not just about remembering our past,” it began, “but about weaving a future that honors those sacrifices. Every one of us carries the torch of freedom, and it’s our duty to shine it brighter for the generations to come.” and he also added, “India’s journey has been one of resilience and unity. As educators, we’re tasked with nurturing young minds to remember, cherish, and further this legacy,”.
Their words inspired many, drawing nods of agreement and rounds of applause. The speech was not just a reminder of our hard-fon liberties but a call to nurture and protect them, reminding everyone that freedom is a continuous journey, not a destination.
Following this, various faculty members shared their thoughts. Professor Sri Kaladhar Mishra, from the Department of Teachers Training Department, recollected stories from elders, painting a vivid picture of the times leading to independence. Mrs. Ummu Saleema, Newly Appointed as academic head of the Subhwanti group of institutions also shared her thoughts on freedom and about keeping the legacy.
But the day wasn’t all speeches and solemn memories. The atmosphere turned festive as students took center stage, treating everyone to a cultural extravaganza. Traditional dances, soulful singing performances, and skits depicting historical moments held the audience captive. The artistry and dedication of these young talents were a testament to the rich tapestry of culture and history that India boasts.
A group of students presented a Drama, portraying key moments from a martyr’s widow’s struggle. Their performance was a poignant reminder of the sacrifices made and the unyielding spirit of those who fought for our freedom.
The day culminated with a community lunch, where everyone mingled, exchanging stories, hopes, and dreams for the future.
